Short and honest: the session was choppy and low-probability. Price rotated back and forth with no clean draw and no shift worth trusting — nothing I could grade high enough to touch. So I took nothing. That's not a boring day I have to apologize for; it's the correct read. Chop isn't a setup — it's the market telling you to wait. On a day like this, the right number of trades is zero.

The Session — Rotation, Not Delivery

There's a difference between delivery and rotation. Delivery is one-sided, purposeful, headed toward a draw — that's tradeable. Rotation is the market chopping in place, sweeping small highs and lows both ways with no commitment — and that's a shredder. Today was rotation. There was no clean draw to target and no shift I trusted, so there was no A-grade trade to be found. Low probability isn't a discount to buy — it's a reason to pass.
The Skill Is Doing Nothing
A no-trade on chop is the same muscle as a great entry.
This week ran the full range — an A+ loss, a 1-in-10 I passed, a red day I owned, then a clean +6R. After a swing like that, chop is exactly where a lot of traders give a green week back: bored, itchy, looking for action, they manufacture a trade out of a range that offers none. I didn't. Standing aside on a low-probability day isn't the absence of a decision — it is the decision,and it's the one that keeps the good days good.
